Prayerfulness is deeply a part of you: in body, mind and spirit.

10th STATION – JESUS IS STIPPED OF HIS GARMENTS

_________________________________________

Prayers and Reflection
We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you.
Because by your holy Cross you have redeemed the world.

Consider the violence with which the executioners stripped Jesus. His inner garments adhered to His torn flesh and they dragged them off so roughly that the skin came with them. Compassionate your Saviour thus cruelly treated.

My innocent Jesus, by the merits of the torment that you have felt, help me to strip myself of all affection to things of earth, in order that I may place all my love in you, who are so worthy of my love.

Our Father
Hail Mary
Glory be

I love you, Jesus, my love above all things.
I repent with my whole heart of having offended you. Never permit me to separate myself from you again. Grant that I may love you always,
and then do with me what you will.

May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Scripture Reading: Matthew 27:33-36

When they had reached a place called Golgotha, that is, the place of the skull, they gave him wine to drink mixed with gall, which he tasted but refused to drink. When they had finished crucifying him they shared out his clothing by casting lots, and then sat down and stayed there keeping guard over him.

Next Station….. Jesus is nailed to the cross
