7th STATION – JESUS FALLS THE SECOND TIME
_________________________________________
Prayers and Reflection We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you. Because by your holy Cross you have redeemed the world. Consider the second fall of Jesus under the Cross, a fall which renews the pain of all the wounds of the head and members of our afflicted Lord. My most gentle Jesus, how many times you have pardoned me and how many times have I fallen again, and begun again to offend you! Oh, by the merits of this new fall, give me the necessary helps to persevere in your grace until death. Grant that in all temptations which assail me I may always commend myself to you. Our Father Hail Mary Glory be I love you, Jesus, my love above all things. I repent with my whole heart of having offended you. Never permit me to separate myself from you again. Grant that I may love you always, and then do with me what you will. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. | Scripture Reading: Lamentations 3: 1-2, 9, 16 I am the man familiar with misery under the rod of his anger; I am the one he has driven and forced to walk in darkness, and without any light. He has blocked my ways with cut stones, he has obstructed my paths. He has broken my teeth with gravel, he has given me ashes for food. |
