Liturgical Seasons 2026 (From Advent 2025)

Advent: Starts 30th November 2025, and continues until Christmas Eve.

Christmas: Begins after Advent, on 25th December 2025.

Ordinary Time (after Epiphany): Follows Christmas and lasts until the start of Lent.

Lent: Begins with Ash Wednesday on 18th February 2026.

Holy Week: Leads up to Easter,

• with Palm Sunday on 29th March 2026,
• Maundy Thursday on 2nd April 2026,
• and Good Friday on 3rd April 2026.

Easter: Easter Sunday is on 5th April 2026. This started the Easter Season through to Pentecost Sunday.

Pentecost: The season of Easter concludes with Pentecost on 24th May 2026.

Ordinary Time (after Pentecost): Begins after Pentecost and continues until the start of Advent in late 2026.

Advent: Starts November 29, 2026, and continues until Christmas Eve.

Christmas: Begins after Advent, on 25th December 2026.
